Korean Fabless Businesses Entering DMB Baseband Chip Market

Korean fabless businesses are actively developing baseband chips used for terrestrial DMB. Telechips has already successfully developed the baseband chip TCC310, which is projected to go into mass production in the third quarter of 2005. I&C Technology already unveiled its baseband chip StarDMB1000 at the beginning of 2005. This chip is projected to go into mass production in July, 2005 through the Chinese contract manufacturer SMIC.
